Tomaž Klemenc Appointed Acting Director of the SPIRIT Slovenia Public Agency

At its 53rd regular session on 3 April 2014, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia appointed Tomaž Klemenc Acting Director of the Public Agency of the Republic of Slovenia for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Development, Investment and Tourism (SPIRIT Slovenia) to hold office until the appointment of a Director, but for no longer than six months.


With the approval of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, Tomaž Klemenc began serving as Acting Director of SPIRIT Slovenia on 4 April 2014.

Between 2009 and 2013, Tomaž Klemenc was employed at the largest Slovenian bank, Nova Ljubljanska banka d.d., in Ljubljana as a Private Banking Director. In the years 2008 and 2009 he was CEO and Chairman of the company AC Fondovi DZU a.d. in Belgrade. In 2006 and 2007 he was a Board Member at Ilirika DZU, d.o.o., in Ljubljana. Prior to that, he spent 13 years holding various executive positions at the Ljubljana Stock Exchange. In the period between 1990 and 1993 he worked in the fields of management consulting and financial intermediation at ITEO, Management Consulting Institute, in Ljubljana.
