Less than half a year before the start of the European Basketball Championship, Slovenia is in the final preparation phase for EuroBasket 2013, to be held in Ljubljana and other three host cities (Koper on the Coast, Jesenice in the Alpine region and Celje in the east of Slovenia). After 18 March, all sports fans will be able to buy tickets – along with the tourist arrangements for this largest sports event ever hosted by Slovenia.
Slovenia has hosted two top-level World Cup in Alpine skiing competitions so far this winter and is ready to host FIS World Jumping Ski Final in Planica between 21 and 24 March. The best Slovenian Alpine skier Tina Maze has been breaking all the records this season and her achievements are being noticed even beyond the snowy peaks.

And Slovenia is colourful on the threshold of spring, ready for colourful Easter traditions … And young! In 2012, Maribor carried the title European Capital of Culture; in 2013, it gained the prestigious title of European Youth Capital. 2013 will be characterized by youth!
